The Companhia da Escalada, is a scholl offering climbing courses and trekkings through the mountains. It has been founded in 1995 in Rio de Janeiro and since than it has published two books "Guia de Escaladas da Urca" (Sugar Loaf Rock Climbing Guidebook), "Guia de Escaladas da Floresta da Tijuca" (Tijuca Forest Climbing Guidebook) and launched a bi-monthly magazine "Fator2".
